Guiyang opens 273 affordable rental units

A total of 273 furnished affordable rental units opened for trial operation on Sept 19 at the Zhuchao Apartments' Luchongguan branch in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, offering more housing options for young professionals working and living in the city.

Ahead of the opening, the apartment's management team visited the neighborhood committee and Leheshu Kindergarten in Yunyan district to discuss rental promotion, property management, community services, and future cooperation.

The neighborhood committee said it would work with the apartment operator to provide convenience services and organize cultural activities to help young tenants settle into the community.

At Leheshu Kindergarten, the team also discussed teachers' housing needs and possible group rentals and joint activities. The kindergarten said the renovation transformed a previously vacant, run-down building, and improved the surrounding environment.

The project is part of efforts to make use of underutilized properties while providing affordable, quality housing for young professionals.
