Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have announced plans to develop, renovate, and launch 10 summer retreat housing projects this year, with more than 2,500 homes expected to be upgraded for retreat living by 2027.
Several high-quality summer-retreat residential projects have already been introduced to the market, including rehabilitation institutions, urban vacation stays, all-age communities, and art-inspired living spaces.
Four representative projects were highlighted during the announcement on July 6 at the 2026 Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Summer Retreat Tourism and Residential Development News Conference: China Railway Qingyan Health Town Project, Guiyang Infrastructure Construction & Investment Diecui Project, Guiyang Expressway Huaxi 26° (Plot 2B) Project, and Kele Zhumu Project.
Located in Yunyan district, the Diecui project is in the heart of the Qianling Mountains and features an exclusive walkway providing direct access to the Qianling Mountain Park. The project is equipped with an 800-square-meter community service area, including a residents' dining hall, and has been recognized as one of "China's Best Urban Livable Ecological Model Projects".
Located in Guanshanhu district, the Kele Zhumu project will offer 210 summer retreat residences and 393 guest rooms, complemented by the Guizhou Mountain Art Museum and nine cultural art spaces. The project aims to create a diverse living ecosystem integrating accommodation, culture, and lifestyle services, and is expected to open for rent in August this year.
