Guiyang celebrated International Children's Day with a variety of fun and educational activities across relocation communities, providing children with joyful memories through cultural performances, safety education, interactive games, and hands-on experiences.
Dozens of children and parents participated in challenge-based activities in Longchang subdistrict's Longtan Community, the only relocation settlement in Xiuwen county, home to 383 relocated households.
During a quiz session, children competed in teams to answer questions about national development and Guizhou's cultural and natural attractions. A safety training camp featured role-play scenarios that taught emergency response skills, helping participants learn how to react in dangerous situations and memorize important emergency hotline numbers, including 110, 119, 120, and 12355.
Nanxiyuan Community in Huaxi district's Qingxi subdistrict also organized a handicraft workshop for children. Sitting together, they created traditional Chinese round fans, decorating them with paintings of flowers, landscapes, and cartoon characters, experiencing the charm of traditional craftsmanship while expressing their creativity.
The celebration concluded with children sharing a festive cake and exchanging warm wishes, creating a joyful and memorable Children's Day experience.
