The Guiyang urban renewal affairs center announced that all 152 urban renewal projects under construction in the city had resumed work on March 4, following the Spring Festival. Local authorities are accelerating efforts to achieve first-quarter construction targets.
The city plans to draft area-specific renewal plans, with ordinary districts and counties required to develop at least one key renewal area. Meanwhile, Yunyan and Nanming districts will each develop at least three renewal areas.
All planning proposals are scheduled for completion by the end of May, after which renovations will begin. Key renewal efforts will focus on areas such as Wenchang Pavilion and the western entrance to Qianling Mountain Park.
This year, Guiyang plans to launch 158 new urban renewal projects with a total investment of 14.23 billion yuan ($1.95 billion). The 152 ongoing projects have an annual investment target of 12.5 billion yuan, with an estimated first-quarter investment of 3.03 billion yuan.
Local authorities are coordinating the submission of various policy funds. Currently, there are 245 reserve application projects with a total investment of 20.55 billion yuan, for which they aim to secure 13.12 billion yuan in higher-level funding.
Preliminary procedures for the 158 new projects have been completed, and they are ready to commence construction as soon as policies are issued.
