The 14th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo took place in Guiyang from Sept 9 to 13, showcasing the world of fine drinks on a grand scale.

The expo spanned 92,000 square meters and featured eight major exhibition zones, including the International Premium Pavilion, China Famous Liquor Pavilion, and Fine Wine Lifestyle Pavilion. Over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions displayed more than 20,000 products.

"This is our first time attending the alcoholic beverage expo in Guizhou, and we hope to introduce Greek wines to the local market," said Lan Yue, head of the Greek booth in the exhibition zone for countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, who was busy unpacking products.

Domestic brands also shone, with Guizhou Dongjiu's booth offering an interactive bar-style tasting area that combined aroma, flavor, and engagement.

The expo this year offered immersive experiences tailored to young consumers, with a variety of activities meeting the evolving preferences of a younger audience.

Highlighting the expo, the 2025 Summit on the Development of the World Wine Industry was held on Sept 10, gathering global experts to discuss policies, digital transformation, international market expansion strategies, and brand innovation.

Complementary events, including the wine and food section of the third Guizhou Consumer Goods Expo and the International Fine Wine Carnival, fostered cross-industry collaboration and helped position Guizhou's Maotai-flavor baijiu brands on the international stage.
