"We have helped farmers sell their produce directly to a supermarket in Shijicheng community!" said Yang Feng, first secretary stationed in Shiban village, Liutong town, Xiuwen county.

Earlier, Shiban village established a partnership with the China Post Benefiting Resident Service Station, jointly setting up a logistics hub for the direct supply of local agricultural products. This initiative has enabled high-quality produce from mountainous areas to reach urban communities at affordable prices.
Local households in Shiban village mainly rely on traditional farming and animal husbandry, producing corn, potatoes, rapeseed, and flue-cured tobacco. To support its vitalization, the Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development, as the designated assistance unit, has dispatched outstanding cadres to serve as village first secretaries, working to improve infrastructure, foster industries, and raise incomes.
Since assuming his role in June 2025, Yang has visited every household in the village to document their main crops and challenges, implementing targeted support measures. His efforts are part of a broader drive to advance rural vitalization and ensure that the benefits of development extend to farming communities.
