Guiyang connects five old residential communities to natural gas pipeline

The Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development has been promoting the construction of gas pipelines in old residential communities since the beginning of 2025. By the end of May, five old communities in the city had been connected to the natural gas pipeline, providing access for 1,020 households.

The connected communities include Shiyou community on Fuyuan South Road in Nanming district (340 households), Wengyan community in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (248 households), Yuanlinju community in Baiyun district (110 households), Country Garden community in Kaiyang county (242 households), and Zhongjie community in Xiuwen county (80 households).

The bureau has arranged for gas companies to visit communities and conduct door-to-door surveys to assess residents' willingness to use gas and identify any difficulties. Based on long-term lack of pipeline access and community data, the gas companies have developed phased installation plans to meet residents' needs.
